Week of Nov. 12th

Pizza Making and Tasting
In preparation for our JK Family Pizza dinner, we had some fun learning activities about pizza this week.  We learned a pizza song that helped us sequence a pizza perfect recipe.  We then followed the recipe to make our own mini pizzas.  We enjoyed making our recipe to order!  While the pizzas were in the oven, we played a math game to help us recognize a number set on a dice and then add the corresponding topping to our slice of pizza.  Pretty soon the delicious smell of pizza made it too hard to resist, so we enjoyed our pizza for a yummy snack.  We were happy that so many families were able to join us for the Family Pizza Night too.  Thank you to Heather Bechthold for coordinating the evening along with the other room sponsors - you are terrific!  By the smiles on all the faces and the great participation during the sing-a-long, it seems like everyone had a great evening!
Our JK P105 Family Quilt
A beautiful work of art comes together for our classroom!
The children were proud to share something special about their quilt square and family!

Happy Birthday, Nora!
Guess who is 5?  Yes, Nora was the lucky birthday girl this week, and we all enjoyed her special day and her yummy cupcakes too!  Have fun being 5, Nora!
Morning Message
We focused on a repeating word and phrase, and we introduced tallying!
